About Andrew

Andrew Hoffman is a 2009 graduate of the University of Florida Levin College of Law and is certified as an information privacy professional by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). In law school, Andrew competed and won best brief awards in three appellate advocacy competitions as a member of UF’s Moot Court Board. Andrew served as a Research Editor of the Florida Journal of International Law and was heavily involved with other student activities at the law school. For example, Andrew served as the Executive Vice President and Treasurer of the Jewish Law Student Association, as an Ambassador for incoming law students, and as a member of the Student Recruitment Team.

Andrew’s legal experience includes serving as 2008 Summer Associate at the Washington, DC, office of Proskauer Rose LLP, as a research assistant to Dean Emeritus Jon L. Mills, and as a judicial extern to U.S. District Judge Steven D. Merryday.

Before law school, Andrew was a U.S. Department of Homeland Security Scholar and completed internships with the federal government at the Department of Homeland Security Privacy Office, the White House, and the Los Alamos National Laboratory. He received a B.S. in psychology and a B.A. in English from the University of Florida.

    ‘09 Mercer Grad - My Chuck Shonholtz google brought up your profile - which competitions did you do - might have seen you around? Happy Bar study - I have to learn contracts tomorrow, from 9-5, oh joy ;)
